FOLDABLE FACE MASK HOLDER

Hygienic storage solution for face masks and corresponding social ettiquette in the pandemic office environment. Can social distancing not be optained, such as when a colleague approaches ones desk for an exchange, a face mask is needed within reach.

The foldable item offers a compact, unobtrusive and material efficient solution to keep the as-good-as-new-mask off the table and off the ground withouth having to tuck it away in a pocket where a lack of air circulation would promote bacterial growth.

Based on the geometric principle for a pincer and the living hinge material principle, the origami-like structure is being transformed into a clamp by adding a hook-like contour and a second material.

A stretchable rubber band attached to the front regulates tension and enables compatibility with different tabletop thicknesses ranging from 20-35 mm.
